- Pilot in Handcuffs: Indian-Origin Delta Captain Arrested for Child Exploitation Charges
Indian-origin Delta pilot arrested from aircraft on child sex abuse charges A shockwave has reverberated through the international aviation sphere after an Indian-origin Delta Airlines pilot was apprehended directly from the cockpit on serious allegations of child sexual exploitation. accompanied by law enforcement just moments before the flight, 54-year-old Manish Singh was escorted away, underscoring the gravity and immediacy of the accusations that range from years to multiple states. A Magnetic Arrest in the Middle of Duty The passengers aboard Delta Airlines flight 209 from Atlanta to Los Angeles were shocked when law-enforcement agents stormed the aircraft mere moments before takeoff. The authorities had the flight’s captain in their sights. Clad in his pilot uniform, Captain Singh was handcuffed there and then and led off the plane while passengers and crew stood on in astonishment. To a man entrusted with the safety of hundreds of passengers at 30,000 feet, the discrepancy between his duties and the accusations is as vivid as it could possibly be. The accusations: Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation The allegations against Captain Singh are frightening. U.S. federal investigators have said that Singh is under investigation for: Possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material Engaging in sexual exploitation of minors. By capitalizing on his prestigious pilot title and peripatetic life as a flyer, he avoided detection for years. The FBI concluded that this episode was far from isolated; the agency viewed it, rather, as a longstanding pattern of predatory conduct. Investigators suspect that he has committed crimes in numerous jurisdictions and across several years. The Manner in which He Was Caught - Police made the arrest after a months-long probe carried out by federal cybercrime units. Cybercrime investigators monitored internet activity connected to Singh’s residences and travel devices and are said to have located explicit images of minors within encrypted digital storage. Investigators suspect he exploited his international pilot standing to traverse the globe, disseminate the material, and evade digital oversight for years on end. Judging by the Statement of Delta Airlines Through a public statement, Delta Airlines recognized the arrest and expressed both its “shock” and its “deep concern” about the incident. They stated that Captain Singh has been suspended immediately, and the airline is extending full cooperation to law enforcement. Such accusations are profoundly disquieting. We are partnering with federal investigative bodies and have suspended the individual from duty until the inquiry reaches a conclusion. Delta Air Lines Spokesperson Furthermore, the airline confirmed to passengers that they could be rebooked and provided assistance when their flight was delayed. Breaking Trust: Behind the Badge, a Man in Uniform, a Predator? The event has brought to light a broader conversation about the abuse of authority and privilege, particularly within positions of trust such as pilots, teachers, physicians, and members of the clergy. That betrayal runs even deeper when those in such positions perpetrate heinous crimes. Pilots of commercial airlines, subjected to exhaustive background screenings and stringent professional and psychological requirements, are regarded as the safest pair of hands we can entrust our lives to. This case cuts right through that trust. The Job Ahead in Court Captain Singh currently faces a host of federal counts and is slated to be moved to a detention center in Georgia. Should he be found guilty, he could be spending several decades behind bars. Law enforcement likewise is urging potential survivors and witnesses to come forward. Depending on where—and how—the abuse allegedly occurred, the case could soon spill over international borders. Social Media Responds As news broke online, scores of commentators voiced astonishment that an individual behind the controls of commercial airplanes could be responsible for such acts. Some online comments called for more rigorous background checks and mental health evaluations for people occupying powerful positions; others implored patience and urged people to let the legal machinery run its course. Even so, one can easily grasp the emotional outcry—hearing that someone at the helm of your flight is under investigation for molesting children can unsettle the very foundations beneath your feet. Is There A Bigger Pattern? Regrettably, it is not the first time a respected professional has been accused of child exploitation. Experts believe that predators frequently seek workplaces where authority, mobility, and relative isolation are inherent. Flying across the globe on solo journeys and anchored to no one specific community, pilots constitute an ideal milieu for anyone intent on operating below the public’s radar. The case may very well uncover systemic gaps in background verification throughout the aviation sector. Final Thoughts Captain Manish Singh’s arrest isn’t just a run-of-the-mill criminal headline; it’s a sobering reminder that monsters don’t only lurk in shadows; sometimes, they don gloves, sit up front in cockpits, and fly. Though the hearing is now being adjudicated in court, a larger question begs: How can institutions keep such individuals from ascending to positions of authority? How do we reclaim public trust when those entrusted with lives betray it in the most appalling fashion? Even as this legal struggle progresses, there remains no room for doubt: justice must rise, swift and decisively. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 1, 2025 #DeltaPilotArrested #ManishSingh #ChildExploitation #PilotInHandcuffs #AviationCrime #JusticeForSurvivors #DeltaAirlines #TrustBroken #AirlineScandal #RealFaceExposed
- Daily Habits That Will Actually Make You More Productive
Want to be more productive without burnout? Discover simple daily habits that boost focus, reduce stress, and help you get more done with less effort. Everybody would like to be productive. However, the majority of us get the wrong impression that busy means effective. There is always a lot to do, and even when you fill your day with tasks, you get to feel that you did nothing. Why? Since productivity is not about working more, it is about working on what really counts. Today, in this blog, we shall look at some effective and practical daily habits that can really act as a catalyst to increase your productivity, as well as remain sane. 1. Begin The Morning without Your Phone How you begin your day determines how the rest of the day turns out. When you get up in the morning, instead of reaching Instagram or looking at emails, do something like this: 5 minutes silence Stretch / Hydrate Have a single day intention It is a tiny change that will shake the fog out of your head and will allow you to begin with concentration but not with the mess. 2. Apply the 3-Task Rule When you fill your to do list too much, you will be subjected to stress and disappointment. Instead, put only three tasks of the day as a priority. Ask yourself: What are the 3 most important things that I have to do before I feel good about today? These are the priorities, all other things are icing on the cake. 3. Feed Yourself Well You simply cannot expect your brain to work when you are operating chips and coffee. eating well balanced meals Stay well hydrated Do not miss breakfast Your mind is related to your body and whatever you feed on implications your ability to think and perform. 4. Learn to take Breaks (intentional) Productivity does not consist in working like a machine. It is a matter of labor smartly. Apply such methods as: Pomodoro (25 minutes, 5 min break) The Deep Work Blocks (90min of undistracted work) Lunchtime re-sets (take a break, go outside, take a breath, stretch) This is because a break rests your brain and makes you come back refreshed. 5. Avoid Distractions- In particular Notifications The largest productivity chaser is your phone. Disable unwanted notice. When at work, keep your phone away. Use applications such as forest or focus keeper to keep on track. Shielding your concentration is a super power. 6. Close Your Day by Making a Simple Reflection Just before bed, you should ask yourself: What did I perform admirably today? What will I be able to do better tomorrow? Did I allow leisure to myself? This nightly check-in lets you learn about your day so that you can wake up informed as opposed to late scurrying into the next one. 7. Practice A Single Way of Mindful Living Each Day It may be: 10 minutes of journaling A 5-minute meditation A brief disconnection with your phone Placing relaxant music. Being relaxed increases the sharpness of your focus. And concentration does more in a shorter period. Bonus: Sleep as if it is a priority (because it is) Sleep-deprivation cannot make you productive. Sleep at least 7hours to 8 hours sound sleep. Halt the screen time half an hour before sleep. Prepare a sleep routine that indicates your brain to sleep. Productivity begins one night before. Concluding Remark You do not have to make an overhaul to your life to get productive. All you have to do is just take small, but impactful changes in line with what you are best suited. Start slow. Choose a habit. Follow it during one week. Then leverage on it. Since the real productivity should not be centered around perfectionism it should be about peace through progress. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | July 16, 2025 #ProductivityTips #DailyHabits #WorkSmarterNotHarder #MorningRoutine #FocusHacks #MindfulProductivity #GetThingsDone #TimeManagement #HealthyHabits #BoostYourFocus #DigitalWellbeing #SelfImprovementDaily
- “Let Her Rest in Peace: A Puri Teen’s Tragic Death Sparks Call for Empathy Over Outrage”
She was on fire, screaming': Odisha man recalls moment Puri girl sought help In a heartbreaking twist and turn, a 15-year-old girl, a resident of Puri, Odisha, who was in AIIMS Delhi fighting to save her life against big burn injuries, succumbed to her swollen injuries. The previously looked to be a gruesome example of an assault case is already confirmed by officials to be a self-immolation act. According to a written declaration taped by standard video cameras, the teenager girl had burned self. The country was brought to a halt as the information was being broadcast. Social media was full of outrage, speculation, and blame that was followed by callings for justice over what seemed to many to be a brutal crime. Yet as the facts are now forth, and that it remains the girl herself who has delivered these fatal blows, there was another sort of silence which stole in. One which made the nation look at something deeper, more silent, and much more threatening, than what was affecting its people: the mental health crisis among its young. The Truth Behind the Sensationalism After the death of the girl, her father was able to talk with great courage and composure. His statements did not require judgment or retaliation, it required sensitivity. He said that his daughter was struggling with depression. Politicization of her death should not take place. His was more than a request as a bereaved father. It was a mirror in front of the society asking us to stop, listen, and reconsider how we should react to such tragedies. It was not only a personal case. It was a matter of a pattern. A trend in discrediting mental health, particularly among the youth . A tendency to diminish some of the most intimate life challenges to viral attention and popular discourses. What We Lack ? This is the temptation to make each heart grieving situation a war cry. However, we tend to forget the real pain that requires some attention in the process. This is a young girl, and only 15-year-old did not seek attention. She was seeking aid in silence. The battle that no one was aware of behind the school uniform; bacon that she always wore at home; the adolescence pressure; an imaginary battle was going on inside her and no one even knew about it. She was not trying to make a statement on her last act. It was a call of a person who felt unlistened, misperceived and lonely. Depression does not always shout. It mutters and mutters until it carries all away. Rest in Peace There are times when silence is stronger than ever having a tantrum. When care is greater than a quandary. And where there is a need to have dignity over drama. This is an instance of such. Her father made a request that her story be heard with empathy and not be used; that too should have been respected. The media, political leaders and the masses must take notice of the gravity of the situation without making it the arena of story battles. This is not a time to blame anyone. This is the time of the introspection. A Wake-Up Call to the Nation What is the number of the teenagers that are struggling with depression nowadays? And who do a lot of people feel that there is nowhere to go? How many more such tales shall we have to write-or still more, hide away? There should be mental health education in schools. We have to educate parents, teachers, and peers to inspect emotional distress. Most importantly, we need to normalize seeking help an issue and make it as easy as treating a fever or a broken bone. If you are reading this... It is a touchy subject and people are afraid to talk about it, but speaking up can save a life. Speak with a friend, a relative, a counselor. You are not isolated There are hotlines, advisors, and refuges; even though it does not always seem so. The child was born in the wrong time and place Such that this shall not be a tale the more forgot tomorrow May it be the story to change how mental health is perceived in our homes and schools and in our society. Rest in peace, little warrior. May your silence open our eyes. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 3, 2025 #MentalHealthMatters #PuriTragedy #TeenDepression #LetHerRestInPeace #StopTheStigma #ListenSupportHeal #IndiaForMentalHealth #EmpathyOverOutrage
- Panic in the Sky – Indigo Passenger Slaps Man Mid-Flight During Panic Attack, Evicted Before Landing
Indigo Passenger Slaps Man Mid-Flight During Panic Attack, Evicted Before Landing The fact is that air travel may be stressful to many people but one of the passengers on board an IndiGo flight, this was to become a nightmare of humiliation, misinterpretation, and physical violence. It was supposed to be an act of empathy but was instead cruelty being displayed when during a flight, a man had a panic attack while in flight and instead of helping the individual, a fellow passenger not only slapped him but also physically removed him before the plane landed. The half-shot incident has led to a shock way through the social media and has brought up some serious issues regarding the ways the airlines, crews, and other travelers manage mental health crisis cases in the air. What Happened, really? Eyewitnesses said that the man, whose name is not revealed, started showing the symptoms of anxiety and distress soon after takeoff. He also was found breathing hard, holding onto his chair and was visibly panicking. One of the crew members came to give him water and attempted to calm him up but prior to any substantial assistance being provided, another passenger gave him up. The next thing that ensued was unbelievable: the other occupant of the seat slapped the insecure man right across the face before the eyes of all the passengers in the plane. Instead of being supported or being under protection, the man who was having the panic attack was perceived as a disturbance. The plane was forced to land in an emergency and they had to get him off the plane alone, upset, and still not feeling good. The passenger that slapped him? Not detained. Even taken out. What happened to the Empathy? This is not something that happened in the flight. This is a total lack of empathy. In some instances, such as anxiety attacks, claustrophobia and flight-induced trauma, mental health episodes are medical emergencies rather than acts of crime. Think of how vulnerable you are in yourself, sweaty palms, elevated heart rate, an inability to breathe and rather than assistance you are kicked. Not only is this unacceptable, but it is also inhuman. Airlines have no use with panic, they require protocols. IndiGo and most of the other airlines trumpet the safety regulations and hospitality. However, it is still rudimentary in terms of mental health training of cabin crew. Why was no medical personnel involved and instead resorted to eviction? Why did the passenger, arranging assault on another person not receive a reprimand on the spot? One panic-stricken man was enough enough to test the capacity of the crew to give care. What would happen in case of an actual in-flight mental health crisis? This is evidence that airlines must be well trained on the topic of mental health crises and have their policies be more empathetic to individuals experiencing them as opposed to mistreating them. Social Media Reacts The moment the videos clips got surfaced in the net, netizens went berserk in anger and disappointed. Some of the comments and likes came to 600+ in just a few hours and some of them read as follows: “Disgusting. Mental health cannot be joked about Minutes before, the slapper and the crew should be ashamed of themselves.” Thrown into the street with radioactive panic attack? That is just inhuman.” The airlines need to wake up. Train your people and untill you can talk about hospitality..” The pressure is mounting up on IndiGo to respond to the incident and currently the post has more than 600 likes. What Now? Mental health problems do not wait until the right time to create problems, or the right elapsed time to fly, or the right time schedule. Fear is reality Panic attacks are not imaginary The absence of expression? This is indeed very true IndiGo Airlines has so far not provided an elaborate statement in relation to slapping or in relation to the treatment of the man. Instead, activists are now calling out not only the airlines but the passenger who resorted to violence because it was his solution. Final Word It is not only about a single blow and a man. This has to do with what we do to people at their lowest. It is time that we all pay attention to the issue, given that we all tend to discuss mental health so freely these days; however, at least at the altitude of 30,000 feet, there is room to improve. Since panic meeting punishment should not be in the sky. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 3, 2025 #PanicInTheSky #IndiGoIncident #PassengerRights #InFlightMisconduct #AviationAlert
- “Radhe Radhe” and Then Silence – A 3-Year-Old's Mouth Taped Shut in a Durg School
3.5-Year-Old Girl beaten up by Christian principal for saying 'Radhe Radhe' in school The case of innocence turning out to be the victim of the worst and unthinkable incident happened at Mother Teresa English Medium School in Durg, Chhattisgarh. A child, a three-years old nursery student, almost unable to speak full sentences, walked up to school with folded hands and a big smile on her face and greeted everyone sweetly by saying Radhe Radhe. It was supposed to be a normal playful morning in school but it turned out to be a nightmare that no child could ever have. The only jolt to the child? She was too gay Too talkative. That was the reason why the school principal allegedly taped her mouth shut-as an action to make her more disciplined. An Amen Greeting, A Sin Antidote Radhe Radhe, is something that comes out of a child heart rendering the word echoing devotion, warmth, and culture. Instead of being received fondly or at least with redirection, it was dealt with in the most appalling way. The child player was terrified and humiliated as the principal of the school used a strip of black tape to seal the lips of the child. This was not merely a matter of discipline, but uncontrolled power over the one little enough to be unable to resist or even recognize something. The child came back home upset with his lips puffed up and the eyes full of confusion and fear. Her parents saw the difference and asked her what had taken place and were devastated when they received the truth. What Schools Do ? The question to ask is, What role do schools do? Is it to keep us safe or keep us suppressed? A school is meant to be second home of a child. Principals and teachers are supposed to nurture, guide and protect. But, what should occur when the goal that was bestowed on individuals to watch over the well being of a child is what instills trauma? Here the urge of a child to explore and express him or herself was faced with abuse. Not only this is a lack of discipline, but it is moral and psychological violation. With such cruelty toward a three year old, is a principal who exercises such treatment sending a specific message to their children? That it is bad to be expressive? It is the silence that is safety? The Backlash and What was Done ? When the case was finally revealed, people went wild, both on and off the internet. The parents, local citizens and child rights activists wanted action to commence as soon as possible. There were pickets at the school and heartbreaking videos of the girl and her family spread like wildfire on social media. The Child Protection Commission of Chhattisgarh - came to know of the issue and made sure that an official FIR was made towards the principal. This was also followed by a team sent to address the study of the school environment and discipline. As a good sign of this, the principal was suspended and the school is under investigation. But that is not enough? The Psychological effect There is no need to dismiss the impact this has on the child. She is still in the process of creation at three. The incident may create long-lasting emotional trauma- development of fear of authority as well as school being associated with punishment instead of education. The psychologists claim that such acts can cause anxiety, social withdrawal, even speech delay. Healing is time consuming, a therapeutic process and safe environments more than anything. A single act of horror can change the trend of all the early development of a child. There is a Bigger Question to be Asked by All of Us It is not only a single school or a single child or a single principal. This is concerning the rising lack of sensitivity in the educational spaces. When results count more than people, and socio-economics cut more than compassion, who is the citizen that we are nurturing? All children have a right to a voice Their growth is all of the greetings, smiling, and inquiries. Sealing the mouth of a child is not only violence but an assault on innocence, speech and the humanness of child. Final Word As this little girl recovers with her parents beside her, we all have to look at what we demand of the schools, teachers and systems into which we entrust our children. Nobody ought to make a child ever be quiet in its merrymaking Not uttering the words Radhe Radhe. Not uttering up. Not to talk. Not ever. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 3, 2025 #ShameOnSchoolAuthorities #StopChildAbuse #VoiceForTheVoiceless #SafeSchoolsNow #ZeroToleranceForAbuse #IndiaForChildren #NurseryStudentAbuse #ChildrenDeserveRespect #SchoolShouldBeSafe #AccountabilityNow
- Love, Lies, and a Vanished Bride – Indore Groom Duped in Shocking Marriage Scam
Indore Groom Duped in Shocking Marriage Scam This is a twist that only a thriller movie would provide because of how mad and betraying it made the man that had married the woman under false Hindu Brahmin identity- as Nikita feel. The clue, sudden and dreadful, was revealed not by lines or by inquiry--but by one almost unconscious word: The bride uttering - Ya Allah in the home of her in-laws a few days after her wedding. And therewith, the mask fell. A Wedding based on False Promise It began as many arranged marriages in India do--through a matchmaker in the locality and localities. The man who was to become the groom and his family were made to meet the girl, Nikita, a shy, less talkative apparently traditional Brahmin girl with good cultural values. She had a clear backstory, her demeanor was humble and her family were said to be settled well. The couple appeared to be an ideal match. The wedding was given in the rituals, people and pomp. Nothing was suspected by any one The role suited Nikita, as he performed all the ceremonies accurately and with a lot of ease. The next thing, however, was not the beginning of a fairy tale--it was the beginning of a con. The Slip Of The Tongue That Changed Everything Not even a week old in her nuptials, the bride was heard saying ye Allah under her breath, which she did whilst all by herself in her room. It was a phrase that cut through a very orthodox household and even more so, it carried the voice of a person who was believed to be a Brahmin. The mother of the groom heard her and accused her of not knowing what she was talking about. Nikita did not want to take it too seriously and attributed it to a tongue slip. However, within the following two days, there started to emerge other cracks. She did not attend temples, did not know much about Hindu practices and rituals and was not ready to take part in some of those rituals. Doubts were raised and the family made up its mind to do some digging. It Unfolds the Truth What they discovered was mind-blowing This was not her real name (Nikita) The child was not a Brahmin, not a member of the group she said she belonged to. Her identity, her background, and even the address that she gave were all untrue. The groom had been totally misled along with his family members. This prompted them to prepare overwhelming evidence to follow up before this woman could run away with jewelry, cash, and valuables that belonged to the groom. Three lakhs lost and a marriage becomes a complete nightmare. Their intimate relationship was meant to be sacred but it turned out to be a betrayal, theft, and an emotional trauma. Police Investigation In Progress The family of the groom has lodged an FIR and the police are looking to track the woman and her possible associates. Initial research indicates that this was not an isolated case but instead it could be part of a bigger scam of marriage whereby ladies pose themselves as someone they are not to get into a marriage with the aim of looting and disappearing with their spouses. Usually, such cons may escape notice or reporting because it is stigmatized but this one in Indore has opened it up. A Kick in the Head It is not a tale of interfaith relations or religious differences-it is a tale of fraud, deception, and how negative emotions are now being packaged as interfaith bullets being delivered on the e-way. Loving should not be manipulated but be based on truth. The groom in Indore is left to collect what life he has left feeling that he thought he was starting out his life with a genuine person. Instead, he has gone through legal actions, economic damage but worst of all the emotional damage of being cheated on by the person you trust to be in the closest union a man can be in which is marriage. The lesson here is this: Care must be taken no matter how tempting a person may appear to be because in the end results do speak volumes. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 3, 2025 #MarriageFraud #LoveScam #IndoreScam #TrustBetrayed #FakeLoveTruth #FalseIdentity #RelationshipScam #FraudAlertIndia #LoveGoneWrong #EmotionalScam
- From Chennai to the Cosmos: How IIT Madras Helped NASA and ISRO Fine-Tune a Landmark Satellite Mission
An IIT Madras professor has contributed to shaping how Nisar , the Indo-US satellite launched on Wednesday, will observe coastal regions. Indian institute was up to the mark of its scientific expertise when it added a new feather to its cap and provided invaluable scientific knowledge during the collaboration of two great space bodies of the world- ISRO and NASA with an ambitious project upon a satellite mission. Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), one of the premier technical institutions in India was also instrumental in getting a fine-tuning of this mission with the anticipated objective of transforming our knowledge of the coastal systems across the globe. Common to this international cooperation was Professor Manikandan Mathur of the department of Ocean Engineering, IIT Madras, whose input on a crucial question of when, where and how frequently the satellite will capture the coastal imagery was very critical. His contribution integrated into the design of the missions and assisted in streamlining one of the most complicated examples of the Earth observation projects in several decades. NASA-ISRO satellite Mission (NISAR) The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite is a revolutionary Earth monitoring mission that will gather information on natural disasters, changes in the environment, climate change, and melting of ice sheets. What is more ambitious is that it will examine the land and ocean surfaces that cover the Earth with unrivaled precision and frequency and this unrivalled knowledge and detailed analysis will be significant in a world that is warming, fast changing. However, it does not even end there in building such a satellite. The mission could work only when the scientists understood where and how frequently to focus its sensors, the more so on the complicated coast areas, which are both ecologically sensitive and vital economically. This is where IIT Madras was involved. Accuracy at the coasts of India It was the work of Professor Manikandan Mathur and his group of IIT Madras who collaborated with ISRO and NASA to study the coastal areas, especially those prone to erosion, floods, and rising sea level. His work assisted in establishing key timelines within which the satellite must concentrate on such areas in order to capture the seasonal changes, storm and tidal variability. His group came up with scientific models that determined the times when coastal features could be the clearest and the options of certain weather and sea conditions as regards clarity of the pictures. That assisted the engineers to programme the satellite sensors in order to maximize on the quality of the data obtained so that the right images can be obtained at the right time. With time being of paramount importance in that type of mission, the recommendations went as far as defining how the radar systems of the satellite operated over a coastal region not only in India but also around the world. India in the Emerging Space Science Supremacy on an International Platform The partnership of IIT Madras in the NISAR project is not simply a technical one- it is an indication of how the Indian scientific community is finding itself an integrated and respected voice in the research through space. It also demonstrates the capability of India in marine and coastal engineering which is an area that one can no longer ignore due to increasing sea level and frequent cyclones. Indian scientists such as Professor Mathur are realizing the limit of interdisciplinary research by merging data modelling of oceans and applications in the aerospace industries. Nowadays, when the world is facing the issue of climate uncertainty, the capability to track the coast of the planet in real-time could save millions of human lives and even billions of dollars in destruction. And it is no longer that India is simply putting rockets into orbit but it is also helping to determine where the rockets look and when they fire. A Proud Moment of Indian Academia This is not the first time IIT Madras is in the limelight of the world regarding the recognition of global worth, but it is one of the finest moments. It is a proud moment of every student, professor, as well as the Indian citizen that believes that education and innovation could transform the world. Professor Manikandan Mathur makes us aware that the major contribution is not necessarily done by the person pushing the launch button but it is the people who are working behind the scenes to ensure that the launch is successful. This is India talking to the world about science, in the lab in Chennai and at the fringes of our orbit, the voice of the scientists who may just turn it up a notch. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 3, 2025 #IITMadras #NISAR #IndiaInSpace #ISRO #NASAIndiaCollab #CoastalScience #ProfessorMathur #SpaceInnovation
- The Vault She Landed, The Memory She Held – Divya Deshmukh's Quiet Tribute
He Always Wanted Me To Be GM': Divya Deshmukh's Touching Tribute To First Coach In the rolling wave of applause that rattled the stadium, Divya Deshmukh, the 19-year-old stood with the gold medal around her neck, the Vault Cup in her hand and the in her eyes not just what we might describe as the ecstatic happiness but a thought of what she went through to get it and we know exactly what we are talking about. She had accomplished it in her world which was becoming British but not yet British An almost flawless dismount off the vault that the judges had no words to describe and the crowd was screaming with excitement. Even at that moment of national triumph, Divya was not reflecting on the news that she was going to get, or the record books that she had just etched. In her heart, she had been in love with a man who was not on the podium at the moment, but always with her in the intangible sense of the word, her coach Rahul Joshi. The Man and armor the Medal Rahul Joshi was not a viral coach with his interviews and Instagram reels. He was the one who was able to do things in silence and it may not be noticed in the eyes of the world but he is always unforgettable by students. Years before when Divya was a scrawny, meek girl with a stooped and hunched posture and scarred hands, it was Rahul who saw through her slightly fucked up physicality and saw promise. Most coaches asked to be perfect, Rahul preferred passion. Even Divya had it, though hers was kind of lump-tacked on. He did not train to win the medals; he trained her to believe. His voice could not be mistaken when Divya was in a self-doubting mode, and his voice continued, “You do not perform to the audience, Divya. You leap in the hearth you are." The Times It Almost Ended Two years back, Divya was severely injured in ankle during regional tournament. Physicians were pessimistic. And most of the Connaughton thought that she would quit her leotard and move on. almost she did Coach Rahul did not allow such a narrative to occur. When your body was scared, your mind must fight on its behalf, he said to her in one of the efforts to rehabilitate her. He would go round to see her in hospital each day. Aided her in relearning all stretches, all balances and all confidence. Where most people saw a dead end he saw a short cut. Not Her Family, Not Her Fans... Speed, and strength, and memory there was in her last vault which brought her the cup. The manner in which she ran was what Coach Rahul had instilled in her: "Not out of fear, but with conviction". The turn on the air, the landing--everything was muscle memory that could be formed through years of trust exercised and persistence. And hence when the cameras flashed cameras after her victory, when the reporters crowded her to get a reaction, she merely smiled and said: “This is not one to be broadcast to the world. This is to a man who heard of me when nobody knew me.” No catalogue of thanks. Nothing to see here Only a silent reminder of a coach who believed at the moment when it was very necessary. A Memory Medal As her family celebrated and social media was filled with posts wishing them luck, Divya found some time to herself. and then up and down at the vault beneath her. And it was not really a podium but a sum of every morning practice, every fall, every tear, every moment of “You got it” by a man that never gave up on her. Coach Rahul Joshi died six months ago of a cardiac arrest. However, his legacy did not require newspaper articles. It was in every action of Divya. And every breath drugged in unto that run-up drink was drencht in the breche of his teachings. Final Word In sports, winning is everything. The trophy. The great applause However, sometimes it does have another side, and the one when a young girl gets a medal, but there is something a lot more important, stored in her heart. Yes, Divya Deshmukh was the Vault Cup winner. But what she held up into the air was a memory. The one that taught us all that there is someone to believe in hidden behind every champion, and he/she believed the most. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 2, 2025 #ForCoachRahul #VaultOfMemories #DivyaDeshmukh
- Three Disasters in One Day: Russia’s Volcano Eruption Follows Earthquake and Tsunami Chaos
Volcanic Eruption And Earthquake Hit Russia’s East Within just a few hours, the Earth has reminded us that nature is unpredictable and very powerful. Following a powerful earthquake and subsequent tsunami that shook Eastern Russia and parts of Pacific rim, another devastating thing happened which is the eruption of the tallest active volcano in Russia, Klyuchevskaya Sopka. It was not only a disaster. It was a frightening series of domino effects of the wrath of nature and it happened all in a single day. The Order of Disorder Early on the morning of July 30th a strong earthquake, of 8.7 on the Richter scale, took place off the Russian far eastern coast. In a matter of minutes, warning of tsunami were declared, towns along the coast were ordered to evacuate, and videos with powerful waves can be seen washing up along the beaches in Japan and Alaska. As yet authorities haveno chance to evaluate the full effects of the earthquake and the tsunami, another disaster has hit this country in the form of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano that is the highest volcano and the most active volcano in the whole of Eurasia, breaking the bank earlier on. They were thick columns of ash that were shot in the air beyond 12 kilometers, and were observed even in the satellite images. Hot lava was flowing down its icy slopes and tremors were still being felt in the surroundings. Planes were redirected, and the emergency preparations were announced in Kamchatka Peninsula. Klyuchevskaya Sopka, the Sleeping Giant Awakens This is one of the greatest volcanoes of the world, as standing over 15,000 on its feet, Klyuchevskaya Sopka speaks volumes of its strength. This was an area connoted with explosive history and yet in the past few years it has been relatively quiet, until now. Scientists had been observing signing tremors in the area of the eruption for some weeks and there were no signs, however, that a massive explosion was imminent. The eruption is currently under a level of Code Red Classifying for aviation as the highest level. Aircraft engines are harmful to volcanic ash and this may lead to failure of aircraft in mid-air. More than 25 local and international flights within the vicinities of the region are already canceled or redirected. Scientists Blow the Whistle A recent pattern of unusual clumping of extreme natural disasters in a 24 hours period is of a concern among the geologists and seismologists. Although every occurrence can be seen as discrete, other scientists are examining whether there might be underground tectonic links amid the earthquake and volcanic eruption. Other possible causes are also the condition of climate change, melting glaciers and change of pressure points in the crust of the earth. The speed at which the catastrophes hit one another may be an indicator that our world is ushering into a more unstable geological era which most professionals fear. The Human Impact Although there are yet no reports of immediate casualties due to the volcano eruption, this situation is still evolving. The tsunami evacuation notices have affected thousands of people and some fishing settlements are reporting building damages after shaking during tremors. Remote parts are experiencing power cuts and communication line failures, which are disrupting the rescue and relief activities. Governments are also encouraging citizens to remain inside their homes, use face protection masks, and prevent the ash-blighted areas. Military support is also at standby ready to help in emergency teams in rescue. The Warning of the Nature or just a Coincidence? Three catastrophes, three on the same day the earthquake, the tsunami, the eruption of a volcano. It is difficult not to consider this to serve as a warning. Be it climate related, tectonic occurrence, or mere random acts of nature, this we know well, we are not as in control as we thought. Such incidents are a lesson that preparedness, international co-operation, and appreciation of the forces of nature should be looked upon. Final Thoughts Eastern Russia is the focus of anxious eyes of the world. With the Klyuchevskaya Sopka still spewing ash and ash clouds spreading out across the area, the scientists, the governments and the population in general is struggling with the answer: What comes next? This should be a wake-up call. Environmental awareness, scientific vigilance and disaster preparedness is not a luxury, it is a need in the new world. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | July 31, 2025 #RussiaVolcano #Earthquake2025 #TsunamiAlert #NaturalDisaster #KlyuchevskayaSopka #RussiaUnderFire #ClimateEmergency #VolcanoEruption #TectonicShift #PlanetWarning
- Grief Turns to Protest: The Tragic Suicide of a 21-Year-Old Student at Sharda University
Medical Student Suicide By Harassment By Professors At Sharda University In Greater Noida Yet another young life has been extinguished. Across yet another campus, silence weighs heavy, sorrow lingers, and now a new shade of rage has settled upon the campus. Sharda University at Greater Noida stands at the heart of mourning and turmoil, after a 21-year-old student was found dead by suicide inside the on-campus boys’ hostel. The incident has set off not only cascades of grief, but also a tempest of protest from students who are calling for answers, accountability, and above all, change. What Happened? On July 30 evening, a 21-year-old undergraduate in his second year was found hanging in his hostel room. Though no formal suicide note was ever uncovered, the circumstances have cast disturbing light on the campus environment. His friends say he exhibited unmistakable signs of stress for several weeks. Whereas some lay the blame on academic stress, others argue that underlying mental health issues and insufficient emotional support systems could have been the underlying causes. There can be no doubt that a promising life was snuffed out far too prematurely. . From Mourning to Movement With the news of the catastrophe traveling, grief swiftly escalated into unrest. Students streamed out of campus hostels and classrooms, urging university authorities to be transparent. Candle marches slowly transformed into well-organized demonstrations. They put pivotal questions to the forefront: Why did no intervention occur, even though the student displayed clear signs of distress? How can campus mental health resources still be so scarce and so hard to reach? Why is it that institutions only respond once a tragedy has occurred? Protesters are mourning more than one student; they are exposing a broken system that continually disappoints the youth, over and over. A Pattern We Must Not Turn A Blind Eye On Sadly, a student has already taken his own life in a college hostel, and unless meaningful measures are put into place, others will surely follow. Student suicides are on the rise nationwide in India. NCRB statistics indicate that, in 2023 alone, more than 13,000 students lost their lives to suicide. This amounts to almost 36 students every day. These figures are far more than statistics. These are the lives of real individuals, thwarted dreams, and hoped-for futures all taken away. Each time an incident such as this occurs, the same pattern unfolds: a brief burst of indignation, empty assurances, and a mute return to inaction, until the next life is taken. Campus Mental-Health Needs India’s college campuses are meant to be havens of learning and advancement. Yet for countless students, these campuses turn into zones of unremitting pressure, isolation, and anxiety about failure. Mental health continues to be treated as taboo. Assuming that counseling cells even do exist, they are chronically short on staff, scarce in funding, and difficult to access. Students frequently have no idea where to seek help, or whom to approach. And by the time anyone apparently decides to do something—well, it is always too late. It is not enough to keep repeating “rest in peace” unless we also ask, how is it that they were not accorded the peace they deserved to live in? The Demands put forth by the protesting students - The demonstrating students at Sharda University have set out distinct demands: An open-minded inquiry into the incident. Instituting a round-the-clock professional mental health helpline Mandatory regular screenings of students’ mental health. Robust mentorship programs designed to fortify students in their academic endeavors and emotional well-being. Identifying and holding responsible anyone whose neglect may have played a part in the tragedy. They demand real change, more than empty words. Support—not surveillance. Healing - not hush-ups. Final Thoughts The 21-year-old who lost his life at Sharda University has now been added to the grim witness of students let down by the system. Even so, his death triggered an overflowing tide of collective mourning that has spurred collective action. If we do not hear now, when will we? We need to curb the romanticizing of students’ hardships as means of “character development” and instead acknowledge mental health as a fundamental, not an optional, right. Every student is entitled to feel safe, be heard, and receive support—not just in their studies, but in all areas of their lives. May this tragedy function as a catalyst rather than just becoming an additional headline. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 1, 2025 #ShardaUniversity #StudentSuicide #MentalHealthMatters #JusticeForStudents #CampusSupportNow #GriefToProtest #21AndGone #StopStudentSuicides #WeNeedChange #ListenToStudents
- The Kerala Lamborghini: A Dream on Wheels Built for Just ₹1.5 Lakh
Kerala Man Builds His Dream Lamborghini At Home, Uses Alto Wheels And Scrap Parts Every man has his dreams, and most of these dreams, however amazing they may be, are prone to run into the budgetary ground. However, there is a man in Kerala who has proved that, there is no price tag to the limits of passion, patience and perseverance. Saji P Joseph is a simple man with a dream and an indomitable determination to achieve it to his satisfaction. The owner of a beautiful plot in Idukki, Kerala, did not have a high budget but he could not resist his urge of checking off one of the items on his bucket list. So Saji built himself his very own version of a Lamborghini right in his backyard! This is not something made in garage. It is a real self-assembled machine with a head-turning appearance as it looks like one of the most premium supercars in the world. It is not only the tale of a person who is changing and transforming an old car but also about goals and dreams being turned into an impulse. A Dream in the Hills of Kerala Saji is an electrician, who was fascinated by automobiles. He loved the sheer infrastructure and beauty in cars such as Lamborghinis like many other people did. However, unlike most people, he did not limit his list to watching videos and collecting posters, but he decided to create one. Although Saji had no background in automobile engineering and had to finance his work with some degree of financial constraints during the COVID lockdown, he started his journey with a second-hand Maruti and a dream. Maruti to Lamborghini Saji started his work using the old Maruti as the basic structure. Body panels were done on fiber sheets by hand. The car has every curve, contour, and panel sculpted carefully. He spent hours upon hours of YouTube videos with tutorials, researched the Lamborghini design philosophy and even created cardboard mock-ups of the model before finally molding the final version. And what is even more encouraging about all this is that it all happened in the tight quarters of his home yard and not quite the high-tech workshop and swanky gear. Simply the bare tools scrap material and cast-offs second hand parts - and unsurpassed handwork. Speed Bumps on the Road The idea of producing a supercar copy on an impossibly cheap budget had its challenges. Materials not only needed to be sourced at affordable prices, but everything needed to be done by hand -sourcing of space to electrical wiring, to final painting. His family was very encouraging despite the fact that it took more than one year to complete. The aesthetics is also one of the impressing ones. It also features the signature Lamborghini scissor doors that open like the real one. The ratio of the body, small ground clearance, air vents, all these are reflecting the dubious iconic design language created by the original brand. The Significance of This Car To many, it is nothing more than a desi replica. However, to anyone who recognizes the power of innovation and ambition, this serves as a quintessential embodiment of Jugaad. In an era when extravagance is chiefly displayed through wealth, Saji’s Lamborghini stands as a testament to the fact that passion is above price. Social media has already propelled his work into viral territory, and influencers, car enthusiasts, and news channels alike are unanimous in their praise of the craftsmanship. Auto enthusiasts are left stunned by the fact that a self-taught amateur produced this complex replica—testimony that imagination really is the only boundary. A Message for the Nation Saji’s tale is far more than the story of a car. It’s about trusting in your dreams irrespective of your financial or educational status. To me, it’s about gleaning lessons from the internet, putting hands and mind to work, and refusing to surrender when the endeavor appears insurmountable. In a nation like India, where numerous aspiring creators grapple with scant resources to give their imagination room to roam, this story underscores that innovation doesn’t necessarily depend on the funding only Silicon Valley can muster. At other times, it takes nothing more than a backyard, a broken car, and an unwavering desire. What’s Next? In the wake of the overwhelming response, Saji has been contacted by automotive YouTubers, hobbyists, and even colleges keen on showcasing his car and journey. He harbors the ambition to run his own custom car modification company and rouse younger minds to push beyond their limits. Even if you don’t have a passion for cars, this story still ignites hope. Where money and machines dictate the pace of progress, this man forged his own dream car out of raw materials, proving that the impetus behind the project outweighs the ambition itself. Final Thoughts If we gauge success by size of paycheck and name-dropping labels, stories like Saji’s blaze across the firmament. This one-of-a-kind Lamborghini transcends mere slabs of mechanized steel; it serves as evidence that uncompromising resolve, limitless curiosity, and an almost boundless work ethic can bring virtually anything to fruition. The next time you think something is “too big” to pursue, recall the Kerala man who crafted a Lamborghini for ₹1.5 lakh and drove that dream straight out of his backyard. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 1 , 2025 #KeralaLamborghini #DesiSupercar #MadeInIndia #PassionOverPrice #SajiPJoseph #InnovationFromIndia #DreamBigBuildBigger #IndianJugaad
- When the Heart Stops Mid-Game – The Sudden Death of 25-Year-Old Rakesh in Hyderabad
25-year-old man from Khammam dies of heart attack while playing shuttle at Nagole Stadium in Hyderaba d We always tend to think about youth as a cloak- it will help us beat the hardships of sickness and death. However, life is capable of disappointing us, at times tragically enough. In Nagole region of Hyderabad, a 25-year-old boy, Rakesh died of a sudden cardiac arrest, as he was in the game of badminton. An athletic activity that is supposed to be fun, healthy and social became his dying scene. Nobody thought that the game will come to silence. It is not only a tragic heart-breaking event, but it is also a wake-up call. Rakesh was a young and energetic person in his 20s and was just having a normal game of badminton. It was to be still another evening. He was said to be athletic and did not have health problems unlike most people in his age group. However it was an eye opener as he fell on the court in the middle of the game. His friends came to the rescue but it was already too late so an ambulance was ordered. Later, the doctors identified the cause; sudden cardiac arrest. This is not the first and certainly not the last time that something like this happens, and unless we can start asking some hard questions this will continue to happen. But He Was So Young... How did this happen? Sudden cardiac arrest is no longer a condition that afflicts old people or people with known heart disease. And now, it is taking the lives of people in their 20s and 30s, even of people on the surface, who are not in their old age. The question is why is this occurring? Unrecognized Cardiovascular Problems – wronged cardiovascular problems are a few examples of heart problems that have no signs at all, until it is too late. Other conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or arrhythmias may not be diagnosed without frequent checks High-Stress Lifestyle - High stress in life in the form of long working hours, sleep, emotional stress, abnormal eating habits - these are all heart killers when taken unabatedly. Overworked Workout or Sports without check up - Many youngsters do pull their body in the gym or the field without knowing about the real condition of their heart. Overwork with unhealthy heart may prove to be hazardous. Unhealthy Diet and physical inactivity – Due to wrong eating or unhealthy foods and less physical activity leads to accumulation of plaque in the arteries even when one is in their 20s. Drug Usage – All those caffeine containing drinks, cigarettes and even steroids (to build up muscles) can cause long-term cardiac complications. It is not Rakesh Alone This is not an Individual Incidence Scroll back through the news over the last year and there are a good number of them: In Maharashtra, a 19-year-old boy collapsed due to Garba. A 27-year old gym instructor in Gujarat died after cardio exercise in a treadmill. A 22-year-old Noida cricket player collapsed on the ground. What is the common thing between them? Youth. Activity. Sudden collapse. And an over all assumption that we are too young to care about the heart. How can we prevent this? We cannot do everything to avoid risk, but we can be more careful, more proactive. Here's how: 1. Heart Check-Ups An ECG, test of cholesterol and a check of the blood pressure once a year may be a rescue of your life even when you are a young and fit individual. In case your family members have heart problems, screen early. 2. Be in Tune with What You Can Do And stay away from the latest fitness fads. Make sure you warm-up, cool-down, and you do not push your body without having an idea of how your heart is. 3. Manage Stress The heart will be directly affected by mental stress. Do breathing exercise, meditate, write in a diary, or talk to a person. Being cured is not being cowed--it is being smart. 4. Eat To Your Heart Reduce the amount of fried and ultra-processed food. Add omega-3s, fruits and fiber. Hydrate. What is on your plate makes your pulse. 5. Do not smoke Tobacco, Cut down on alcohol. However, each of your puffs and each of your binges breaks your heart a bit more than you may realize. Also, the damage is, instead, silent until it becomes irreversible. 6. Learn CPR A sudden cardiac arrest is a situation where time is of the essence. CPR is essential in saving lives: a person who has suffered cardiac arrest may fall next to you, and proper CPR may save their life. Final Thoughts: Rakesh would not have died now Well, he should have walked home in his sweat and beaming well prepared to enjoy a meal with his friends. Rather, he lost his life in one of the courts where he went to feel free. His narrative is not the exception any longer, but it is rather a pattern. And unless we listen up, we will be wasting lives of brilliant young people to a disease we can detect, control, and most of the time prevent. Let the story of Rakesh not be a headline. May it be a cause to examine your own heart-may it be a cause to examine the hearts which are round about your own self. 📅 By News Anek Digital Desk | August 1, 2025 #HeartHealthMatters #SuddenCardiacArrestAwareness #RIPRakesh #YouthWellness #CheckYourHeart #NotTooYoungForHeartCheckup
